Summer and the week either side of a break are the easiest times to do this — the house is quieter, and a garage that has to stay closed for a day is not a problem when nobody is racing out at 7am. Those weeks book up early, so it's worth getting the estimate done before you actually want the work.

Your district or campus ID. A recent pay stub or a district email address works too if your ID lives in a desk drawer at school.

Questions people ask first
Does this cover school staff who are not teachers?
Yes, deliberately. Aides, office staff, custodians, drivers and food service all qualify. If you work for the district, you qualify.
Can you do the work over the summer?
Summer is our recommendation, and break weeks are the next best thing. Most residential garages are a one-day install. Book the estimate early — those weeks fill up because everyone wants them.
I teach at a private or charter school. Do I qualify?
Yes. Public, private, charter, or community college — it makes no difference to us.
